1. Karrot. Karrot is a free app in both the Apple and Google Play Store. Not only can you find lots of fab Freebies on Karrot, they also giveaway free gift cards quite regularly when you post items on their site. It's a bit like Kijiji, except - totally free and you cannot post videos. Karrot is just starting to expand across Canada. Sign up now and be on the waiting list for your community.

Some stinkers thinking they are clever thinkers cram all kinds of things - even houses into the free section. This is very frustrating, and I would sincerely like to see some of these sellers prosecuted for bait and switch.
3. Facebook Market Place. This Freebie space is a total disgrace - for the same reason as Kijiji. For example, I discovered many great houses and apartments listed there as "Free".
4. Freecycle. Freecycle has been going for years all around the world. It is definitely a great go to spot for finding lots of stuff for free.
5. Oh, dear. I was sure there were five places. How embarrassing. I know there is a fifth place, but at the moment I seem to have misplaced it. Perhaps you know that fifth place where people can go to find things for free. If you do, could you please post a note in the comments below and remind me?
