Harvey's Celebrates 65 Years of Hamburger Heaven

In a press release issued this week, Harveys outlined their promotions to celebrate 65 years in giving people what they want on hamburgers.
Here is the press release where they revealed the free hamburgers and hamburger deals.

Harvey's Celebrates 65 Years of Your Burger, Your Way

The iconic Canadian burger brand built on charbroiled customization thanks guests with 1,650 free burgers, nostalgic discounts and limited-edition merchandise
 VAUGHAN, ON, March 26, 2024 /CNW/ -
Harvey's is celebrating 65 years of customized burgers with the launch of the Harvey's Burger Hunt. Starting today, the burger brand will hide 1,650 free burger cards near Harvey's locations and iconic landmarks across the country, including four VIP Cards that will give the lucky winners free 'Harvey's for a year'.

On April 1 (no joke!), the homegrown chain is also kicking off a $1.65 Original Burger offer, available through the Harvey's app for a limited time to celebrate the burger that started it all.

"Harvey's is honoured to be celebrating 65 years of creating customized burgers just the way Canadians like them," says Michael Nault, COO of Harvey's Canada. "Delivering a personalized approach to every meal continues to be what drives us forward and we are excited to invite our guests to help us mark the occasion in a variety of fun and engaging ways."

To add to the celebrations, starting April 1, Harvey's will release limited-edition, retro-inspired merchandise and made-to-order t-shirts where Canadians can have their own name printed between the brand's iconic bun logo. Five dollars from each item sold will go to Tree Canada, in support of their collective goal of planting 250,000 trees by 2026.

"Harvey's has been a staple of quality food and great memories for many generations," says Nault. "It's important to us that our guests who have supported us for 65 years, and our future guests, feel part of our celebrations and continue to enjoy making their burger a beautiful thing for years to come."

Home-grown customization Harvey's was founded in 1959 by Montrealer Richard Mauran, whose vision for a made-to-order, charcoal-broiled hamburger, topped the way you like it, was a novel idea among Canadian quick-service restaurants.

Nearly 300 locations later and this vision is still 20/20, offering quality, made-to-order food and millions of topping combinations. Along the way, it has expanded its menu with new options to customize, including chicken sandwiches, poutine and its famous Angus burgers.

Canadian Seniors and Their Families Can Get Free Cake !

Free groceries are great news, if they are groceries you can use.  This is not an offer that I can use - due to dietary restrictions, but here is a treat that perhaps some of you might like to try. This free cake offer is from Mr. Kiplings. To get this Freebie you need to purchase a qualifying item and submit your receipt to the website. Your reimbursement will go into your PayPal account.

A few years ago, before I found out exact how bad sugar is for your body, I would have been heading right out to try and find these cakes by Mr. Kipling at the store.
However, now that I know that sugar can make cancer, depression  and yeast infection grow - my answer to sugary snacks is now a very emphatic-No thank you!

Four Easy Ways to Save on Fast Food at Wendy's Canada

  1.  Be sure to ask for your receipt! On the back of each Wendy's Canada receipt, it details how you can get a free sandwich when you fill out their online survey. I currently do not have internet at home, so I do the survey in the restaurant using their wifi. When you complete the online survey, you receive a code to write on the back of your receipt. The code is good for14 days after you complete the survey and entitles you to a free Dave's Single or a Chicken Sandwich with the purchase of any premium sandwich. The cheapest premium sandwich is Dave's single for $4.So for $4.20 including tax you are getting two fully loaded hamburgers - or you can order them whichever way you please. When you do the survey it can be a bit disconcerting as the survey website given on the receipt is "talktowendyscan.com" However, the actual survey website for Wendy's is https://www.mywendysfeedback.com/can I was surprised to discover that I could do more than one survey a day.
  2. Sign up for Wendy's Rewards. This can be a bit tricky. as you will need a smartphone or a tablet so you can download the app to cash in your rewards points. However, accumulating the points can be done without a smartphone. You can sign up for Wendy's Rewards at  https://order.wendys.com/location and clicking on ""login "| at the top of the page. At the bottom of the pop-up box click the light blue words "sign up".
Another pop-up box will replace that pop-up box. Fill in your name, email address and postal code.

Then this second pop-up box will be replaced by a third pop-up box asking for your birthdate. The birthdate box is optional, but I filled it in and I'm looking forward to seeing what birthday goodies they'll send me.

  3. Order Wendy's delivery! When you place a Wendy's delivery order for over $20  through their app you can get $4 off your order! So on a $20.05 order, you are saving about 20%! That's a good chunk of change and you are saving wear and tear on your vehicle, reducing the chances of collision costs, saving your gas and being able to use your time for more important things than waiting in a drive-thru line! Oh, yes, did I mention you are also helping children in foster care find forever home?

  4. Purchase a "Pin-Up" for $2 and get $1 off any combo or large sandwich. Several times a year Wendy's runs their purchase a pin-up program. By purchasing a paper heart for two dollars you can help children in foster care get adoptive homes and also get a coupon for $1 off any combo or large salad.
